The Autumn Tag | LittleEllieMae

The wonderful Ellé from www.ellesimpson.co.uk tagged me in The Autumn tag which I was super excited about as I absolutely LOVE Autumn!

1. Favourite Candle
Whilst on my trip to America in the Summer I popped into Bath And Body Works (finally!) and picked up a few bits from their Fall range. I got a couple of candles but my absolute favourite is called 'Thanksgiving Morning Pumpkin Pecan Waffles' which smells of divine warm, sweet, pumpkin-y goodness. SO GOOD.

2. Favourite Lip Colour
I wear this colour pretty much all year round but its my favourite during Autumn as it goes amazingly well with all my deep coloured clothes- its Rimmel London by Kate Moss in 107. Its such a gorgeous deep red colour that I'm totally obsessed with.

3. Favourite Drink
I do love a good hot chocolate (loving Marks and Spencer's Millionaire Shortbread Hot Chocolate at the moment!!) but you can't go wrong with a good cuppa tea.

4. Favourite Blush
I've just re-discovered an old favourite in terms of blush; Rimmel London Stay Blushed Liquid Cheek Tint in 004 Sunkissed Cherry. Its easy to go a bit overboard with this blush as you literally need only the tiniest bit but when you get it right, it gives a gorgeous natural glow.

5. Favourite Clothing Item
At the moment I'm loving polar neck tops- especially this gorgeous teal coloured one from Debenhams that I like to pair with my favourite ZARA skirt.

6. Favourite Movie
One that springs to mind is 'Love, Rosie'- its not necessarily Autumny but it came out around this time last year and its one of my all- time favourite films- it makes me so happy.

7. Favourite TV Show
Like Ellé, I absolutely love the Pretty Little Liars Halloween Special. And of course, Strictly Come Dancing season is upon us and I am once again obsessed and am forever dreaming of going on the show (please can I dance with Tristan... Please?)

8. Favourite Thanksgiving Food
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK (but I silently celebrate by myself by watching the Friends Thanksgiving episodes on repeat). I think Americans eat roasts on Thanksgiving, in which case I love stuffing and Yorkshire pudding... mmmm.

9. Favourite Halloween Costume
I LOVE dressing up so Halloween is very exciting for me. Last year I painted my face as a Mexican Sugar Skull and this year I'm going as a zombie Cinderella... keep an eye out for photos!

I tag:

Thanks again to Ellé for tagging me- loved this tag!

Lush Winter Collection 2015- Plymouth Event | LittleEllieMae

As you well know by now- I'm a self- confessed Lush-aholic (yes, that is a thing) and my favourite time of year at Lush is definitely Winter with their amazing Halloween and Christmas themed products in particular.

I was kindly invited to another Lush Plymouth event to launch the 2015 Winter collection! It was a wonderful evening and has made me sooo excited for warm baths on cold Winter evenings.

We were welcomed to the cosy Lush Plymouth store filled with bubbles, smiling Lushies and gorgeous cupcakes by the amazing Mrs Browns Bakery on Friday evening- the night of the big reveal of the new Winter collection!

We got the evening started with a team challenge- we had 2 minutes to mould a figurine of Santa/ a snowman from their Christmas 'Fun' packs! Our team killed it with this awesome Santa (with no eyes...oops!).

We then started to look at the new Christmas range- something I was VERY excited about!

This is 'The Magic Of Christmas' reusable bubble bar- this, for me, smells of the epitome of Christmas; packed full of cinnamon and cloves, I can't get enough of it! And how adorable is it, sitting on a stick of cinnamon, complete with festive ribbon and jingle bells! I can't wait to get a few uses out of this one!

'Stardust' is very Frozen-esque, with it's swirling mixture of crisp whites and blues and finished with fun coloured stars! I love the simplistic exterior to this bath bomb, hiding the burst of excitement inside!

I was very excited when Mr Adam pulled this particular bath bomb out- yes that's right, 'Yog Nog' is now in bath bomb form... woohoooo! I absolutely loved this scent in the soap form last year, so I'm so excited to try the bath bomb! It smells of deliciously sweet toffee egg nog yumminess and the shea butter will leave skin amazingly soft.

'Peeping Santa' bubble bar is so adorable! It has a yummy sweet, fruity smell- I think this one would make a perfect gift for any Lush lover!

'Reindeer Rock' has had a re-vamp and is looking so awesome for 2015! With the exact berry- like scent of the amazing Comforter, this is a no-brainer for me. Its such a warm and comforting (no pun intended!) scent and makes me want to snuggle up by the fire and drink berry tea. Just me? Ok.

'Baked Alaska' is such a fun product! With bright, popping colours and a zingy, refreshing citrus scent this will definitely wake me up on those cold Winter mornings! I love how all of Lush's soaps are completely moisturising- they don't strip the skin of all its essential oils which I really like.

That's right, more 'Yog Nog' but this is back in its former soap state. As with the bath bomb- this is just wonderfully wonderful WONDERFUL. (I love it, a lot)

'Cranberry' is a refreshing face mask that cleanses and brightens the skin. And its such a nice colour- seriously, can I have everything in this pink colour?

'Fairy Dust' - well we know that anything with a name like this, I will automatically be attracted to, right? Its such a cute product to bring gorgeous sparkle to the festive period. (Also, great if you're dressing up as a fairy to a Christmas party..!)

Some of the Plymouth Lushies sported this gorgeous red lip colour which turned out to be the 'Santa Baby lip tint' - to go along with it there is the popular 'Santa's Lip Scrub' which is perfect for someone, like me, who suffers with dry, split lips during the Winter as it keeps them supple and exfoliated.

I absolutely love little 'Butterbear'... he's soo cute! And at only £1.95, its perfect to pop in someone's stocking! I'll definitely be stocking up on a few of these!

Of course, Lush also have their gorgeous gift sets for both Christmas and Halloween. I absolutely love their fun packaging, as well as the awesome products inside.

From the Halloween range (which isn't stocked as much as the Christmas products at the moment, which is a shame!) I picked up 'Lord Of Misrule' bath bomb and tried it out at the weekend. I wasn't expecting much from this seemingly plain green product but I was blown away by the spectacular swirly patterns and rapid bubbles it produced! It didn't have an exceptionally poignant scent but it did leave my skin feeling lovely, soft and clean. I'd definitely purchase this one again!

As you can see, I LOVE the new Winter range and want to try it all out!!

Thank you to the best Lushies at Lush Plymouth for a great evening and for ever so kindly gifting us bloggers with a few products to try out ourselves!

I'll definitely be popping in to stock up soon.

Have a nice day!

Autumn Lookbook 2015 | LittleEllieMae

I love Autumn. My birthday, Halloween, Half- term holiday, leaves falling from the trees, pumpkins, and the fashion.

I shot some photos of a few of my favourite outfits for this season! Enjoy!

This look is my go- to outfit this season. Its complete with gorgeous autumnal colours, prints and accessories. I've wanted to try styling knee- high socks for ages; I find that they can be really tricky to wear but I love it with this outfit, the mustard colour of this pair picks out the lovely colours in the print of my skirt.

Top- Debenhams
Skirt- ZARA
Socks- Primark
Shoes- M&S

These colours are the epitome of Autumn I think! Mustard and burgundy are my favourite colour combination at the moment so this dress and simple cardigan are perfect together! Its really easy to dress this outfit for the day or likewise dress it up for the evenings! A floppy hat is the perfect accessory to add to an outfit during this time of year.

Dress- Forever 21 (U.S)
Cardigan- Primark
Shoes- M&S
Hat- Primark

This outfit is so easy to wear! I've had countless compliments on it (it looks a lot more expensive than it is, with similar looks in higher end stores right now!). I also love to style this outfit with a 'geek- chic' look to it by tying my hair in a loose top knot and adding my round glasses from Specsavers.

Top- H&M
Pinnafore dress- Primark
Shoes- M&S
Bag- Topshop

I really enjoyed shooting this lookbook at the gorgeous 'Garden House' located on Dartmoor, near Plymouth- it has the most spectacular gardens, especially when the Acer trees start to turn stunning colours during October. And what wonderful weather we have been blessed with recently (I say that, as I look out my window on Monday night to rainy storms)!

Hope you like my lookbook! Which outfit is your favourite? Let me know by commenting below or tweeting me @LittleEllieMae :)

The Vintage Velvet Dress | LittleEllieMae

Hello everybody!

'Tis I- I have returned from my hiatus. I was merely overwhelmed with starting Year 13 (my last year at school- eek!) and so blogging had to take the back seat for a few weeks. I missed it a lot and so here I am again!

Last week I visited Miss Ivy's Vintage Fair which is an event that I always look forward to! I adore being surrounded by hoards of vintage gems and amazingly eccentric and interesting people.

My favourite purchase from the vintage fair was this GORGEOUS velvet dress.

The label says the brand is 'Canda' for 'C&A'- thinking its originally from the 80s.

I love the metallic bodice of the dress, the high neckline and beautiful velvet skirt. I really like velvet for this time of year so it will be perfect to wear in the upcoming months!

There's also a slit in the back which I think is a really unique and cool feature! I love how flattering this dress is- it hugs the figure without being too clingy, just perfect.

For just £15, it is of such amazing quality and being a vintage piece, it has great personality. (and no-one else will have it!!)

As I said, I'm sure I'll be wearing this dress to death throughout the next few months! Gotta love a bit of metallic and velvet.

What do you think of it? Let me know by tweeting me @LittleEllieMae or commenting below :)

Have a great day!
