There has been A LOT of hype over the new Lush summer collection, especially with the recent grand opening of the Oxford Street store which has attracted social media maniacs to their colourful demo tubs left, right and centre (How many Instagram photos have we seen of swirly baths?.... but I LOVE it)!
We were welcomed to the cosy Plymouth Lush store by the fabulous Tori and the team and were treated like royalty with some yummy fizzy drinks and veggie Percy Pigs (my favourite)!

Foot Soak And Fancy Free |
The evening kick-started when the first products were demonstrated, all focusing on pampering those tired feet! We were shown
Foot Soak And Fancy Free which is a foot soak, and although its not the prettiest of Lush's famous products (I think it looks a bit like a rice cake?) it certainly seems to do the job! Filled with French lavender, chamomile, carageenan extract this product it holds all of the nutrients needed to reduce swelling and soften dry skin on the feet. Alongside this, we were shown
Go Faster Feet foot lotion,
Pumice Power foot soap and
Twinkle Toes foot powder which all together created the ultimate pamper session for the feet. My favourite foot product that we were shown over the course of the evening was Twinkle Toes because, not only does it have the most ADORABLE name, it seems the perfect product to freshen feet (especially handy in the hot summer months, wearing flip-flops) and add an extra sparkle to your day! As a previous fan of 'Stepping Stone' which was discontinued at the start of the season, I'm so happy that Lush have released more foot products for me to try so I don't miss my old favourite
too much!
We then went on to explore the new hand products which included the amazing
Golden Handshake hot hand mask,
Salted Coconut hand scrub and
Love And Light hand cream. I suffer with bad eczema on my hands, especially in the upcoming cold Winter months, so I'm really glad that I've discovered these new hand products to prepare me now! I especially love the idea of the Golden Handshake hot hand mask which is an avocado, argan and castor oil hot hand mask which melts down into a thick, creamy treatment to soak into your hands- leaving them soft and supple.
There are three new other hot oil treatments for hair,
Damaged,
Kinky,
Tangled , that works in a similar way to the Golden Handshake product as when you add hot water to the solid treatment, it slowly melts and thickens into a treatment that can easily be applied all over your hair! I really can't wait to try this product out (I'm testing Damaged because my bleached blonde hair is totally dry) so I'll post a review ASAP!
Next up were their famous bath bombs! Its kind of funny how excited I get over Lush's bath bombs but I just adore the different smells, exciting colours and of course the glitter (sorry Mum for the glittery bath tub...).

Intergalactic bath bomb was made to represent the view of outer-space, packed with mesmerising swirling colours and bursts of glitter and topped with a gorgeous minty smell- this looks like the most relaxing bath ever! I can't wait to try it.

The Experimenter. This
literally BROKE THE INTERNET (Tori did apologise formally to Kim K) and I can 100% see why. Its my favourite bath bomb that I've ever used. I couldn't believe the beautiful burst of exciting colours in my bath, it really awoke my senses along with the lovely vanilla based scent. However, the burst of colours didn't last the whole bath time and soon died down to a mellow, relaxing tub of deep, glittery purple which reminded me of the night sky. I really loved the transition from the initial excitement of colour to the relaxing end product. And of course, being a Lush product that is packed full of natural, ethical goodness it left my skin feeling amazingly soft and replenished!

Slow and steady wins the race. Well it sure does for
Yoga Bomb which acts a lot slower than the rest of the bath bombs but is no less exciting: its smell is really comforting with sandalwood oil scent and the product reveals swirls of hidden purple, green and turquoise for a very mermaid-esque experience.

Let it gooooo. Let it gooooooooooooo... This
Frozen bath bomb creates a fun mixture of white and blue swirls with silver sparkles. I don't know why, but I REALLY like blue bath bombs- I think its because it reminds me more of the sea, so this one is a definite winner for me. It really does make me feel like a princess, hehe.
We also looked at the awesome face masks from the new Summer collection. My personal favourite is
Cup O' Coffee face mask which wakes up and invigorates the skin. I've used this twice now and have seen a huge difference in my skin already- I have less breakout spots, my skin is smoother, softer and looks so bright and healthy. I also even spread this mask onto my arms to get rid of any dead skin and they were also left feeling so soft and refreshed. I am always weary of scrubs because my skin is stupidly sensitive and dry but this doesn't affect me negatively at all! I can't wait to keep using this stuff.
The Lushies got very excited about this new product
Magical Moringa as its a new wonder ingredient for Lush! Its a face moisturiser but also doubles up as a perfect primer for makeup; take a bit of the product (you only need a tiny bit... the pot will last for ages!!) and warm it up with your fingers, it will melt into a oily substance. You can apply this directly onto the face and it soaks straight into the skin in an instant, no oily residue left! I've already noticed a difference to my skin whilst using this product- LOVE it!

After my beloved Snow Fairy shower cream, I wasn't sure whether I'd ever find another shower product which I love as much... But then I came across
The Comforter shower cream. Its a gorgeous bright, berry pink colour and smells of the famously divine scent of the bubble bar by the same name. I think it smells like old- school Vimto juice which brings back fond memories and makes me feel all cosy. It has lovely snowflake lustre sparkles to add a little bit of glitter to the usual mundane shower routine. A new favourite of mine!
I had so much fun at the Lush Plymouth Summer Collection Blogger event! Not only was it amazing to learn about, test out and experience the gorgeous new Summer collection (my favourite collection yet!!) , it was so lovely to meet some new bloggers as well as hang out with some old blogging friends. It really was a fantastic evening.
Lush Plymouth were also very lovely and kindly gifted us each goody bags filled with awesome new products to try out so keep an eye out on my blog and social media for my reviews on that!
A huge thank you to Tori and the rest of the Lush team for organising another awesome event! I can't wait for the next one ;)
