Plymouth Blog Meet - Organising A Blogger Event | LittleEllieMae

After recently attending blogger events at Lush and Benefit in Plymouth, I started to realise that there were way more bloggers in this city than I had initially thought! I had gotten on so well with the bloggers I had already met; an idea of a meet up for all of Plymouth's bloggers sprung to mind.

I remember texting Becca (who was a huge help in organising the event... she put up with my anxious texts and calls on a frequent basis- thanks Becca!) a few months ago proposing my idea of a Blogger event in Plymouth- the first place to host the event that came to mind was of course Rumpus Cosy.

Rumpus Cosy is the cutest cafe/restaurant in Plymouth! Its a Pinterest- lover's heaven: full of kitsch china tea pots, indie fairy lights and amazingly comfy sofas! The staff at Rumpus Cosy were so lovely and helpful in organising this event and gave us excellent service for a fun evening! I couldn't recommend them enough! Check out their Facebook page here

We had a big table and all sat down for a few hours of tea, cake and chat! We had some yummy homemade carrot cake, baked by Rumpus Cosy and a selection of lovely teas! I had the Mao Feng Green Tea which was deliciously refreshing!

I was kind of surprised at how well all of the bloggers got on! We all chatted non-stop like we had all known each other forever! It was so nice to talk to like-minded, friendly people about our shared interests. We have all stayed in touch too- I'm already planning the next meetup in my head! I can't wait to see everyone again.

To thank all of the bloggers who attended, I decided to make some goody bags. I had seen goody bags from other events and thought they were a great idea! The goody bags included fantastic products from a variety of companies including The Vintage Cosmetic Company, WaterWipes, Halo Wipes, Nanshy, JICA Beauty, Sweet Cecilys, Virtue Drinks.

All of the bloggers seemed to love their personalised goody bags which is great!

Keep an eye out on mine and Becca's blogs for a chance to win one of these goody bags from #PlymouthBlogMeet very soon!

This is what I wore to the event- it was a lovely day so I opted for a summery look!
Dress- NEXT
Shoes- New look
Bag- Accessorize

Our local newspaper, The Plymouth Herald, has published an article about the event and a bit about my blog if you'd like to check that out too: http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/Plymouth-student-passionate-blogging-organises/story-26396306-detail/story.html

Overall I think that the event was a huge success- I've had nothing but positive feedback! I cannot wait to organise the next one (after my exams!)

Thanks to all of the lovely bloggers who attended the event and made it such an enjoyable experience! It was so nice to get to know you all!
Also a big thanks to Becca for all her help and support, Rumpus Cosy for hosting our event, Plymouth Herald for covering the event and all of the companies involved in making up the goody bags.

Have a great day!

Disclaimer: The products from the goody bags were all kindly sent to us from various companies and PR companies however all of my opinions are 100% honest and my own.

My Perfect Spring Outfit at Greenway Estate | LittleEllieMae

Firstly, I want to apologise for the lack of posts lately; I've been so busy with other things and blogging had to take a back seat for a little while. But hey, I'm back!

I hope that you have all had a lovely Easter break! I actually spent my Easter Sunday cooped up in my study writing essays but I took today off for a family day out.

We took a trip to Greenway Estate-  the beloved holiday home of Agatha Christie and her family in the 1950s in Devon. Its a National Trust site located by the stunning Dart estuary; home to beautiful walled gardens, woodland, peach house, vinery and much more.

The estate is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited, with gorgeous plants and trees every where you look and the interesting and quirky interiors of Christie's beloved old holiday home. The weather was perfect for the occasion too. And of course, an ideal location to take some blog photos!

I hope you enjoy a few of the snaps that was taken throughout the day:

Greenway house: Holiday home of famous murder mystery writer, Agatha Christie.

The views from the house were just beautiful. I can imagine why Christie had such an attachment to this place.

In the kitchen: I wore my new dress which I think is the epitome of spring fashion! It is from NEXT and is a cute yellow, blue and white floral textured skater dress (£25). I adore these pastel colours for springtime!

Some very posey photos today... but y'know, that's what us bloggers do best!

I love the low back of this dress... I had to buy this dress a size lower than my usual dress size (which, by reading the reviews online, many customers also had to do) in order for it to fit perfectly.

There were so many different varieties of Magnolia trees around the estate and gardens. They are my favourite tree!
I have paired my dress with some Topshop black ankle boots with my frilly Topshop socks as they are practical to walk around in.

I painted my nails in my favourite blue spring colour, Huckleburry by Barry M. I absolutely love pastel coloured nails at this time of year! I kept my makeup very simple and fresh looking which is what I like most. I especially love the lipstick I'm wearing which is Elizabeth Arden in 'Breathless', which is a peachy pink colour with flecks of rose gold in it.

Overall I had a fantastic day out, accompanied with wearing my new favourite spring outfit!

Have a great day!
