Its almost time to start stocking up the wood burner and living off hot chocolate again; Autumn is my favourite season, but especially for fashion.

Today I'm going to show you a few of my Autumn fashion staples from my wardrobe!

This autumn I am determined to rock high- knee socks more often; I frequently see girls on Pinterest looking amazingly autumnal and cute in high- knee socks so I'm going to try pulling them off myself! I love mixing up gorgeous autumnal colours in an outfit- Here I've incorporated a traditional cream cable knit jumper with a burgundy cardigan, emerald green bag, black skirt and purple socks.

Velvet skirt- Topshop
Cardigan- Primark
High-knee socks- Primark
Floppy hat- Primark
Bag- Accessorize
Wedged boots- River Island

I always feel that its a bit easier to experiment with my vintage inspired style during autumn as you can dress up a plain black based look with a nod to a vintage era. Such as I've done here, I've added a classic leopard print belt to cinch in the waist and add some pattern to the outfit. Also my trusty floppy hat is great to add a vintage vibe to an outfit.

Satchel- Primark

I think that patterns are a great staple for Autumn! I love this dress as its so flattering and brings an element of fun with the kitty print!
Dress- H&M
Hat- H&M
Boots- Topshop
Tights- M&S

And of course, when it comes to Autumn you can't forget a staple coat! I adore the pink colour of mine as it brings a beautiful pop of colour to every outfit.
Coat- Peacocks
Skirt- Topshop
Tights- New Look
Wedged boots- River Island

I also wanted to include my staple makeup look for autumn! You can't go wrong with glowing skin base, a subtle smoky eye and matte berry lips!
Lipstick- Kate Moss by Rimmel London in 107
Eyeliner- Maybelline Gel Liner
Blush- Rimmel London Liquid Blush in 004 Sunkissed  Cherry
Foundation- Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in 200 Soft Beige

So that's it- Seasonal colours and textures, vintage spin, patterns and a good ol' coat... my favourite bits for Autumn! I hope you have a great start to this season and enjoy yourselves :)

#TeenBlogSeries - Week 5- Skincare routine and skincare must haves for teens!

Teen Bloggers Anouska Millar and Beth have decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. For the next ten consecutive weeks, over 80 bloggers will be writing every Monday at 6:30pm about many different things, all beauty, lifestyle or fashion related. Being a teenager, spots can REALLY suck! We all get them now and again (and if you don't then you are very very lucky indeed!) and some suffer with them more than others. But with hundreds of treatments and cleansing products around nowadays, it can seem hugely overwhelming to choose the right one for your skin. Today I'm going to show you some of my favourite products to combat those sneaky spots and make sure to check out the other teen bloggers' posts on the #TeenBlogSeries hashtag to find even more recommendations!

To give you a clearer general idea of my skin type: My skin is generally quite oily around my nose, chin and eyebrows but very very dry on my cheeks and especially around my eyes. I do get spots; not as much as I used to but definitely get the odd one here and there (especially around my time of the month, my face goes all red and pimply). I generally get spots around my nose, chin and sometimes around my temples. I also have very sensitive skin.

Now to give you the low- down on how I treat my skin:

Every morning I wake up and splash my face with cold water (mainly to attempt to wake myself up). I wash my face with Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3 in 1 face wash which I think is the best cleanser/ makeup remover/ toner that I've ever used! It lathers up so nicely so you only need a very little pump to use. It really cleanses deeply into the skin and also softly hydrates it which is great for anyone who also suffers with dry skin. I definitely think that it helps with preventing spots as I've noticed such a difference since I started using it last Winter. Also, because its a 3 in 1 product it saves you from spending on other products like separate makeup removers and toners. I use this every morning and evening.

To moisturise I like to use the Nivea Rich Moisturising Day Cream for an every day cream- its super hydrating for skin but doesn't leave it feeling greasy; Its also a great base for makeup!
However, if my skin is feeling super dry and a bit patchy I like to use Bio-Oil or the cheaper version, Aldi's Recovery Oil (only £3.99!). These oils are so great for my skin and make my face appear smoother, more radiant and even toned, just over night!

Another product that I like to use on my skin is the Simple Skincare Kind To Skin Smoothing Facial Scrub which I use once a week to exfoliate my face. This facial scrub is very gentle to my sensitive skin, and as its packed with beneficial vitamins it leaves me with a radiant glow every time.

Its not only skincare products that I use to try and keep my skin at it's best; I also make sure that I eat plenty of fruit and vegetables, along with drinking lots of water (and green tea!) as I've definitely noticed that this is one of the main factors to keep my skin looking nice. In addition to this, I also take HRI Herbal Clear Skin Completion Tablets twice a day; These include natural active herbs, Sarsaparilla and extract from Blue Flag and Burdock Root which are very beneficial to the skin- it helps with not only spots but also eczema and blemishes too.

#TeenBlogSeries - Week 4- Healthy Recipe

Teen Bloggers Anouska Millar and Beth have decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. This week for #TeenBlogSeries the title for the post is 'Healthy Food Recipe' so even though we all crave a bit of chocolate through our teen years, its definitely important to keep our bodies healthy and eat some good stuff too.

Its been my first week at Sixth Form this week and its been super hectic so unfortunately I haven't had chance to make some of my favourite healthy/ veggie meals to photograph and write about for you... keep an eye out here on my blog for recipes on my Mum's famous veggie lasagna and my specialty 'whatever is in the fridge' salad in the future though!

So today rather than showing you a healthy food recipe, I'm going to talk about one of my favourite health benefits: green tea.

Green tea is supposedly the healthiest beverage on the planet! Its loaded with antioxidants and nutrients which improve brain function, fat loss, a lower risk of cancer and many other incredible benefits.

Before a few months ago I hated the taste of green tea, as my family would buy caffeine green tea and add honey to it however I tried decaf green tea and fell in love with the taste! It also made me feel refreshed and after a few weeks, months of drinking it every day I have definitely noticed the health benefits.

Here are some facts about green tea:

1.) It improves health- Green tea contains all sorts of bioactive compounds and anti- oxidants which are great for your body!

2.) Helps with fat burning and improves your physical performance- it also increases the metabolic rate of your body, so could help with weight loss!

3.) Helps lower risk of cancer and old age diseases- the antioxidants in green tea lowers the risk of cancer. If you drink green tea, you could be 22% less likely to get breast cancer, 48% less likely to get prostate cancer and 57% less likely to get colorectal cancer. The bioactive compounds in green tea can also have various protective effects on neurons and may reduce the risk of both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

4.) Green tea can kill bacteria- therefore inhibit the growth of plaque on your teeth and also can lower the risk of infections and even prevent food poisoning!

5.) It relaxes you- green tea slows down your heartbeat and relaxes your body to feel calmer and happier. :)

6.) It has no calories! (as long as you drink it plain... no added sugar!) so no need to worry about a calorie count!

7.) Prevents bad breath- yup, that's right!

8.) It comes in all different kinds of flavours, from salted caramel to mango and passion fruit- there are plenty to try!

Okay, so now you know how great green tea is for you. Seriously, it does a world of good and I would urge everybody and anybody to start drinking it.

#TeenBlogSeries - Week 3- Favourite Highstreet shop and picks

Teen Bloggers Anouska Millar and Beth have decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. We have a minimal income of money yet we want every new piece of clothing that is coming into season, right? Being a teenager, it can definitely be a challenge to get your perfect wardrobe on a tight budget but with hundreds of highstreet stores around with the newest trends, its 100x easier!

After pondering on my favourite highstreet shop over a few days I have finally come to the conclusion that my favourite shop changes every season. For example, I love Topshop especially in the summer whereas I shop more in H&M in the Autumn. I think its the different variety of stock they all have but I do shop everywhere!

At the moment my favourite highstreet shop is definitely H&M; I have been there every time I go into town lately and have not failed to come out with a bag full of gorgeous clothes!

I'm going to show you some of my favourite H&M outfits from my wardrobe:

Shoes from H! By Henry Holland

You may remember this outfit from my summer sale haul- the top and skirt are both from H&M. The skirt was only £3 in the sale and the top was £3.99 (full price!). I always find that H&M have great sales!

Cardigan and sunglasses from Primark, boots from Topshop

This is one of my favourite dresses! Its been perfect for this hot weather we've been having as its made of a very light viscose material.

Boots from Topshop

I can't wait to start wearing this dress again in the Autumn- so cute! The bowler hat is also from H&M!

Leggings from M&S and boots from Topshop

This jumper is from H&M; its the perfect length to throw on with some leggings during the colder months! Its so comfy too!

Skirt from Topshop and shoes from New Look

It doesn't get much better than H&M crop tops! They are super affordable and fit so nicely.

Shoes from Clarks

I wore this H&M dress to my Grandad's party and I received so many compliments about it! The perfect summer boho dress I think!

Shoes from H! by Henry Holland

Okay so I'm a little bit obsessed with H&M dresses! I've realised that a lot of the dresses in my wardrobe are from there! I love the colour of this one.

Hat from Primark and boots from Topshop

And these are the newest H&M editions to my wardrobe! This gorgeous detailed top was only £7.99 and I got the super skinny aubergine coloured high-waisted jeans for £6! Great value for money, every time!

I can't wait to see what else H&M have in store for the coming colder months!

#TeenBlogSeries- Week 2- Best Foundation and Brow Routine for Teens

Teen Bloggers Anouska Millar and Beth have decided to start a project called #TeenBlogSeries. Its aim is to bring together lots of the teens/young adults in the blogging community. For the next ten consecutive weeks, over 80 bloggers will be writing every Monday at 6:30pm about many different things, all beauty, lifestyle or fashion related. You can view everyones posts by going to the hashtag on twitter "TeenBlogSeries". If you would like to get involved email: anouskateenblogger@googlemail.com.

This week for #TeenBlogSeries, I'm here to talk about two of my favourite makeup products to experiment with- foundation and brow products.

I've been through countless bottles of foundation through my teen years; ranging from too pale, to too orange... too cakey to basically no coverage.

Finally I can say that I've found two foundations which I am confident with and will be repurchasing.

First up is my drugstore choice- Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation in 200, soft beige.

At only £6.99 and available in 11 different shades, this foundation is perfect for any teenager! It is light- medium coverage but can be easily built up. It gives such a flawless finish when applied with a stippling brush. It is said to have light perfecting particles in it, which must be why it gives a nice dewy finish to the foundation, making me look healthier and glowing.

I love foundations with dewy finishes as I suffer with dry skin on my face, so anything too mattifying makes my face look flaky- this foundation gets it just right with the dewy look, without looking oily. This foundation is great for school/ college as it looks natural and feels lightweight on the skin but still lasts pretty much all day. I couldn't praise this foundation enough!

On the other hand, if you are looking to treat yourself with a higher end foundation I would recommend YSL's Fusion Ink Foundation.

I've been using a sample of this foundation for a little while now and I am in love with it! It is lightweight, silky but with good coverage. Although the price is not something I love so much..! At £30.50, this foundation is generally not in a teenager's price range, it would be a luxury to buy anyway. I do love this foundation, but when you can buy a Rimmel London product that is just as good for under 1/4 of the price, its a no brainer really!

Foundation is the base to every great makeup look, so I think its crucial to get it right.

Moving onto brows- another pivotal part of any makeup look. It wasn't until the last year or so that I realised how much good eyebrows impacted a look;  brows frame your face and make your look appear clean cut and finished.

This is me back in 2012 when I used to really over- pluck my eyebrows. I used to pluck them from the top (a total no-no!) and kind of scarred my skin there. Luckily I realised what I was doing to my poor brows and went through a painfully slow process of letting them grow back to their naturally bushy selves.

Fast forward to today and here are my natural brows- a lot better! I don't get them shaped in fear of a beautician making them super pointy or over the top which I don't like! So instead I just leave them to do their thang and use my curved tweezers to pluck random hairs now and again.

I do however fill them in. Because my hair is so light, I find it difficult to find a colour that doesn't make my eyebrows look super dark against my tone. I use the colour 'Naked 2' from my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette to fill in my brows lightly for added definition. I love this colour as it looks so natural- its part of my Basics palette which is handy as it is so versatile!

So that's it for this weeks #TeenBlogSeries! Send me your links so I can have a read :)
