Get Ready With Me- Formal Event!

A while back I attended a formal event which meant that I could dress up more than usual!

My sister took some photos to document getting ready with me, so here we go!

Firstly, I did my base makeup which ultimately includes the following:

-I buffed the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in 200 soft beige into my skin using the H&M foundation brush.
-Then I concealed under my eyes and around my nose using the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in 020 true ivory and the Collection concealer in medium 3 to cover any spots and blemishes.

- This was all sealed in and made matt by using the Avon powder in sand.

Now for the eyes.

- I used the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 hour in 65- Pink Gold as a base all over my eye lid. I love this creamy product as I generally have really dry skin, especially around my eyes so this creates a nice smooth surface for the rest of the eye makeup.

- Then I used the Maybelline My Shadow in 125 which is a matt nude colour, on top of the cream shadow, which corrected the pinky colour of my lids.

-I then used my Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette and used the brown colour to define my crease then went on to use the dark blue shimmery colour to create a 'V' shape on my outer crease to define it more.

- I used the colour Venus from my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette in the inner corners of my eye and below my brow to highlight.

-Of course, Maybelline The Falsies (waterproof) was coated on my lashes!

- On the apples of my cheeks I used Guipure from my Sleek by 3 Lace palette which is one of my all time favourite blushes.

- I used the Ted Baker Illuminator to highlight the tops of my cheekbones for a dewy finish.

- I lined and filled in my lips with Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Pencil in spice 011 and finished with the Rimmel Stay Glossy lipgloss in Orange Up Your Life.

Once I had finished my makeup, I used my BaByliss hair straighteners to give a wave through my hair by twisting sections, as shown above.

I used the M&S Formula self tan lotion to give my skin a glow and then topped it off with the Vaseline essential moisture body lotion.

I had my nails done with shellac by the lovely nail artist at my local salon; my ring is from Accesorize.

This is my finished eye makeup look close up!

My shoes are from M&S!

So this is the finished product! My dress is from Dorothy Perkins and my bag is vintage.

I love getting ready to go out so I hoped you enjoyed it too! I had such a great night!

Have a nice day!

Hello, I'm back!

Hi guys, it is so nice to be back after a few long, hard working months of GCSEs. But now they’re over, and I have an 11 week summer holiday to enjoy which includes back to blogging… and YouTube!

I’m so excited to have the time to do more stuff that makes me happy now, and I’d like to document a lot of what I get up to over the coming few months on my blog and YouTube channel (LittleEllieMae)- which I am starting up again next week.

I’m looking forward to writing new posts with different ideas and topics now and I’d love to hear any suggestions that you have for blog posts or YouTube videos as it would really help me out!

Also, the weather is super lovely in the UK at the moment, well in Devon it is especially! So I’m actually sat here in my bikini top and shorts typing away hehe; now I’m going to get back in the garden to enjoy the sunshine whilst it lasts!

Anyway this was just a catch up post for now, and LittleEllieMae will resume as normal very soon!

Have a great day!
