A while back I attended a formal event which meant that I could dress up more than usual!
My sister took some photos to document getting ready with me, so here we go!
Firstly, I did my base makeup which ultimately includes the following:
-I buffed the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in 200 soft beige into my skin using the H&M foundation brush.
-Then I concealed under my eyes and around my nose using the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in 020 true ivory and the Collection concealer in medium 3 to cover any spots and blemishes.
- This was all sealed in and made matt by using the Avon powder in sand.
Now for the eyes.
- I used the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 hour in 65- Pink Gold as a base all over my eye lid. I love this creamy product as I generally have really dry skin, especially around my eyes so this creates a nice smooth surface for the rest of the eye makeup.
- Then I used the Maybelline My Shadow in 125 which is a matt nude colour, on top of the cream shadow, which corrected the pinky colour of my lids.
-I then used my Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette and used the brown colour to define my crease then went on to use the dark blue shimmery colour to create a 'V' shape on my outer crease to define it more.
- I used the colour Venus from my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette in the inner corners of my eye and below my brow to highlight.
-Of course, Maybelline The Falsies (waterproof) was coated on my lashes!
- On the apples of my cheeks I used Guipure from my Sleek by 3 Lace palette which is one of my all time favourite blushes.
- I used the Ted Baker Illuminator to highlight the tops of my cheekbones for a dewy finish.
- I lined and filled in my lips with Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Pencil in spice 011 and finished with the Rimmel Stay Glossy lipgloss in Orange Up Your Life.
Once I had finished my makeup, I used my BaByliss hair straighteners to give a wave through my hair by twisting sections, as shown above.
I used the M&S Formula self tan lotion to give my skin a glow and then topped it off with the Vaseline essential moisture body lotion.
I had my nails done with shellac by the lovely nail artist at my local salon; my ring is from Accesorize.
This is my finished eye makeup look close up!
My shoes are from M&S!
So this is the finished product! My dress is from Dorothy Perkins and my bag is vintage.
I love getting ready to go out so I hoped you enjoyed it too! I had such a great night!
Have a nice day!
